The Flu Season...

Hello friends,
I'm officially struck with the flu epidemic, and have not felt that bad for a long time... This is truly frustrating because New Year's eve is so soon and I would hate to miss it...
Anyway, wish me luck and in the meanwhile here are couple of shots of Vivienne right after she woke up. Love her so much!

Have a great day...

Sophie's dress:
Handmade beautiful dress from Stylin' Sophie. I'm in love with all of their clothing. This dress made from imported cotton with adorable faux-leather mint collar is so stunning and incredibly well-made. I'm so impressed with the quality and the way it perfectly fits Sophie! I am loving these shots so so much!
Her golden moccasins are from The Coral Pear.

Christmas Sugar Cookies - Blogmas Day 23

You will need:

1 Cup softened butter
1 Cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond or walnut extract
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 cups all purpose flour
Sanding sugar, and any decorations desired.
Food coloring (optional, I used the green color for the leaves).

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In the bowl mix butter and sugar. Add almond or walnut extract and egg.
In a separate bowl combine baking powder and flour, them gradually add your wet mixture. Knead the dough very well. Immediately divide and roll onto a floured surface. Cut with cookie cutters. Cookies should be approximately 1/4 inch.
Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Let cool on the rack sheet until firm enough to transfer to a cooling rack.
Decorate and enjoy!
